NOVEMBER 2020 - OPERA COMPANY OF MIDDLEBURY

Emily is excited to return (virtually) to the Opera Company of Middlebury for their first online production of the 2020 season: an updated performance of Michael Ching's opera "Completing the Picture."

The production premiered on NOVEMBER 15TH, 2020.

With the permission of the composer, the link is will stay live indefinitely - and thanks to OCM, it is FREE for all to view.

Emily is excited to share some wonderful lieder with her fellow Baumgartner Studio Artists. 

She is looking forward to presenting this concert, which includes a selection from Wager's Wesendonck Lieder.

MAY 2021 - BAUMGARTNER STUDIO ARTIST SHOWCASE: WEILL'S LITTLE MAHAGONNY

Explore the light and dark sides of temptation and seduction in the short Cabaret about regretting getting what you want, followed by swoon-worthy scenes and solos with rising stars.

Revel in the talented Baumgartner Studio Artists as they explore Weill’s 25-minute semi-staged cabaret cantata in German and English. Mahagonny is the Las Vegas of dreams, until you arrive and it doesn’t live up to the hype. Music includes the “Alabama song” as covered by the Doors and so many others.


The second-half showcase will show off the talents and repertoire that makes these fresh performers shine in some of our favorite scenes, exploring “the grass is always greener” theme. Join us as we return for one glorious performance with a small orchestra and cast.


* Rated PG13.


Pre-Opera Talk: One hour prior to performance, in Wilson Theater, Vogel Hall.

Below, you will find Emily's most recent engagements. 

Her previous work includes two seasons at Chautauqua Opera as a Studio Artist under the direction of Maestro Steven Osgood, and two seasons at Sarasota Opera as an Apprentice Artist with Maestro Victor DeRenzi.

ROLE DEBUT

February 2020


Emily made her role debut as the title role in Suor Angelica at the Indiana University Opera Theatre.

She is so grateful to IU for the opportunity.

CONCERT - DESPITE AND STILL (BARBER)

 2019


Indiana University Student & Faculty Recital titled: Fleeting Melodies: The Songs of Samuel Barber. 

Emily performed Samuel Barber's song cycle "Despite and Still," with IU Collaborative Piano faculty Daniel Overly.

ROLE DEBUT

Spring 2019

Emily made her second role debut with the Boston Opera Collaborative in the Spring 2019 production of Don Giovanni as Donna Anna.

She made here company debut as Marguerite in their 2016 production of Faust
